Working on Being More Efficient

As the energy division manager, it is my job to analyze our costs and determine if and where we can become more efficient in our operation and delivery of all energy products. This past year, we conducted a couple of feasibility studies on our lubricant department looking at our costs associated with delivering bulk lube oil. Through the process, we came to the realization that we needed to upgrade our delivery truck—as well as look at upgrading our bulk oil plants and/or possibly consolidating them. With rough estimates of $250,000 to make the changes needed, we decided it just was not feasible to purchase a delivery truck and upgrade our plants at this cost.
In order to be more efficient, we have instead decided to use the Cenex® Lubricants Terminal (CLT) in our service area. Effective February 15, 2010, the CLT will deliver bulk oil directly to you on our behalf.
Using the CLT for delivery will not affect how you place your orders, who services your account, or who you get an invoice from. All those things will continue to be taken care by WFS and your energy salesperson. The only thing that will change is who delivers your bulk oil. Instead of a WFS truck making your delivery, you will now see a CLT truck making deliveries on our behalf.
By utilizing the CLT we hope to streamline our delivery process with minimal impact on you. If you have questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact your local WFS energy representative.
